The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan.  This is the last book of this momentous series and all that I can say is that it was worth the wait. It all unfolds in the final installment of this thrilling series. The book starts with our very own Seaweed Brain, Percy Jackson, having a good day hanging out with his friend Rachel. Except, like every good day, it’s interrupted by yet another life or death experience. Blackjack lands on the hood of Paul’s car (yeah he’s not going to be happy about that…) and the rider is none other than Charles Beckendorf with a bag of explosives on his shoulder. They all have parts to play in this war and Percy Jackson and the ones closest to him bear the most. Speaking of the ones closest to him, Grover has disappeared and hasn’t been seen for a while. However, that’s not even half of all their troubles. All year the demigods have been training for the battle against Kronos and his army, knowing that the odds of victory are grim. As old monsters are ...
