The third book in the thrilling series, will not disappoint. As usual, Rick Riordan starts the book off with a burst of action. The book starts with Sally Jackson, driving Percy and his friends to a school to scout out some demigods. Nico and Bianca di Angelo. But once the mission takes a wrong turn and Annabeth is kidnapped by a monster, Artemis and her Hunters turn up to save the demigods. Artemis then has to capture an elusive monster, leaving the Hunters forced to take refuge at Camp Half-Blood. During a game of Capture the Flag, the Oracle decides to pay a visit and issue another life - threatening prophecy. When they decide who goes on the mission, Percy decides to tag along. However he isn’t exactly invited….


“First of all, THIS COVER! This cover is actually beautiful, the way the artists designed the cover was a very nice blend of the two colors and Percy riding Blackjack. Rick Riordan filled the plot with exciting twists and turns. There is a very prominent moment in this book where we find out a lot about the history of Riptide and how it was created, mostly who created it. WARNING: The ending of this book is a tear jerker, and I promise that it will get better. So if it wasn’t clear, this book is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend this whole series.

  Chapter 4: Scarlet’s POV:  For two people, who have only flown a ship in flight simulations, these two are pretty good. All of us are strapped to our seats but it isn’t necessary. Nithya and Shravya were flying smoothly and so far so good. We can still use our phones and laptops, but not to text or make calls, so I pull my laptop out of my bag and set it out on the white food tray/desk.  Next to me was Rani, who pulled out a book and was reading. I got an immediate headache if I tried to read in motion. Speaking of which, Jay wasn’t looking so good.  Nate, also noticing this, reached into his bag and brought out an orange pill bottle. It's a shorter one this time.  Chapter 5: Jay’s POV:       ‘Could you help me with this?’ My gaze drifted from the game I was watching, and went towards Jerry, who had a number of tools in his hands.  ‘Hm? Sure, what do you need?’ I said, getting up and walking towards him. We were in our dorm and Nate was out with Nithya and Shravya. They have been working hard for the past two days to find the leeway. With no avail, they let the rest of us do whatever we wanted today.  Jerry and I already finished unpacking, but he still didn’t get all of his tools and gadgets to the workroom. Jerry got his own room for working on the weapons and tools.
